What a day! Even though it turned out to be the hottest day of the year, we had an absolutely chilled-out time at the Kelsall Steam and Heritage Rally. This event has a little bit of everything — and then some.
 

The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and full of surprises. From the roar of tractor pulling to the unexpected excitement of lawn mower racing, there was always something happening in every corner of the showground. But it wasn’t just about engines and machinery — we were also treated to horse displays and even watched dogs herding ducks, which the kids absolutely loved!

One of the standout features was the commercial vehicle display, one of the largest in the country. Rows upon rows of classic, vintage, and modern trucks made for a photographer’s dream and a fascinating stroll through road transport history. And if you’re a fan of ERF trucks — this was the place to be, with a record-breaking number of them gathered in one place.

Between exploring the stalls, taking in the sights, and grabbing plenty of cold drinks, the kids topped off the day with a much-needed ice cream break in the shade. It was one of those events where there’s something for everyone — engines for the enthusiasts, animals for the kids, and a peaceful countryside setting that made it feel like a proper summer’s day out.
